FAIRE DU SPORTS AT JAIN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

The Biennial Sports Day of Jain International School, Faire du Sports….Go in for Sports, was conducted with great pomp & pageantry. Ms Arundhati Pantawane, international badminton player, presided over the function as the Chief Guest while Mrs.Amrita Mishra, Commissioner of Income Tax, was the Guest of Honour. CO Mohandas Khobragade, Commandant, 238 BN, CRPF, was present as a special guest. The Sports Day, which witnessed a harmonious blend of track and field events, children’s races and a few cultural items, was appreciated by members of Management – the Director, Mr.Anuj Badjate & the Trustees, Mrs. Priti Badjate & Mr. Tushar Badjate and the CEO, Mr.Sanjeev Agrawal. The Sports Day commenced with the lighting of the torch by Aditya Pratap Singh, Neeti Tatiya, Ritisha Mittal and Lavanya Jhingan who had performed exceedingly well in various disciplines at the District, State and National Level. The Sports Day was formally declared open by Ms.Arundhati Pantawane which was followed by a march past of three contingents – Sashakth, Saksham and Sankalp.

Sankalp, led by Aadarsh Chourasia was declared the best marching Contingent with prizes being awarded to the best marchers of all three contingents – Shweta Singh, Palak Khurana, Urja Kachhawa, Aadarsh Chourasia, Ayush Khade, Lavanya Jhingan, Ritisha Mittal, Sara Pandey and Avnindra Ravi. Aadarsh Chourasia was also crowned the fastest sprinter of the meet.

The Principal, Mrs.Anmol Badjatia, presented the Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the students.

The Chief Guest, Ms.Arundhati Pantawane, left an indelible imprint on the audience when she spoke about the importance of excelling in diverse fields, and paying equal importance to sports.

A number of novel races witnessed the participants compete for top honours with gusto while the drills drew gasps of appreciation from the audience.

The Guest of Honour, Mrs.Amrita Mishra, praised the hard work that had gone into the planning of the Sports Day & lauded the Management, Principal, staff & students for their zeal and dedication.

A novel aspect of the programme was an adrenaline packed Norwegian dance featuring a synthesis of folk and contemporary styles presented by the students of Kongsberg International School, Norway, who were on a two week visit to Jain International School as a part of the Youth Synergy Initiative.

The piece de resistance of the Sports Day was the Grand Finale which showcased the students’ considerable talent. It featured students playing the guitar and drums, while Bhangra and Maharashtrian folk dancers added a pop of colour to the proceedings.

The audience was left spellbound by the sheer variety of the events and the meticulous staging of the entire show which was ably compered by Mr.Mithilesh Pathak & Mrs.Angeleena Bhalerao and coordinated by CCA Incharge, Mrs.Kiran Joshi and her team.


Kindergarten Sports Day

The Biennial Sports Day of Jain International School kindergarten Section and Little Jewels -‘Faire du Sports….Go in for Sports’ was conducted with great enthusiasm and zeal. Ms Bimla Negi Deoskar , Recipient of the Government of India’s highest National Award for Excellence in the field of Adventure Sports , was the Guest of Honour. JIS presented performances wherein children showcased varieties of drills such as Commando Drill, Karate Drill and Traffic Police Drill, Little Jewels presented the Magic of Colours wherein children showcased Wing Drill, Parachute Drill , Umbrella Drill and Flora and Fauna Drill . The members of the Management ,the Director Mr.Anuj Badjate, the Trustees Mrs. Priti Badjate & Mr. Tushar Badjate and the CEO Mr.Sanjeev Agrawal appreciated the spectacular performance by small children The Sports Day commenced with the lighting of the torch by Hrutuparn Yosatwar and Aarush Kamble , who had performed exceedingly well in various skating competitions ,Miss Devashree Gokule clinched the gold medal in the Inter-School Skating Competition (Fancy in line category) and Master Arnav Saxena clinched a bronze medal in the Inter School Skating Competition(Beginners Category) .The Sports Day was formally declared open by Ms Bimla Negi Deoskar .

The entire show was ably compered by Mr.Mithilesh Pathak , Mrs.Shreelaxmi Mishra and Mrs. Ishmeeta Warne and coordinated by CCA Incharge, Mrs.Kiran Joshi ,JIS Kindergarten Co-ordinator Mrs.Humera Siddiqui  and the Little Jewels Co-ordinator Ms. Pooja Puniyani .
