CENFEST STORY WRITING COMPETITION

The students of Jain International School proved their prowess in the CENFEST Story Writing Competition conducted by Centre Point School, Katol Branch and lifted the Rolling Trophy for the same.

The team, consisting of Palak Chopra and Anushka Nag of class X, clinched the trophy for their imaginative take on classic fairy tales. Palak was also awarded the 1st Prize for her tale which featured Cinderella as a woman of substance co-authoring a book with Malala Yusufzai. Anushka’s Red Riding Hood was a trainee under Mary Kom who vanquished Veerappan, the smuggler. The duo was trained by Mrs Anupama D’Souza, HoD, Eng Dept.

Smera Mehta, a student of Std. XI of Jain International School participated in the DSO Squash Competition held in Wardha and made the school proud by bagging the first position in the U-19 Girls Category.She will be representing the State which is to be held in Aurangabad.

Jain International School proved that it is a force to contend with by lifting the Rolling Trophy for English Extempore in the CENFEST English Literary Competition conducted by Centre Point School, Katol Road Branch.

The school was represented by the eloquent duo of Sanika Mandaogade and Shambhavi Kale of Class X who wowed the audience with their impromptu speeches laced with liberal doses of humour. Sanika Mandaogade was awarded the 2nd prize for her witty speech on “Braces”. They were trained by Mrs. Anupama D’Souza, HoD, Eng Dept.

CENSPORTS SKATING COMPETITION

The students of Jain International School gave a stellar performance in the Censports -Inter School Skating Competition held by Centre Point School, Dhaba.Gold medals were bagged by Namrata Sahani (I) & Girvaan Kapse (II). Riskhika Poddar (I), Ishan Sharma (I) and  JIya Masta (IV) won silver medals. Anant Shrivastava (II), Guru Kapse (II), Aliza Razzaque (II) and Ridhima Singhal (VI) were awarded bronze medals for their efforts.The students were trained and mentored by Coach, Ratan Marhas

The students of Jain International School posted a stupendous result in AISSE exams.

It was a proud moment for the school when the top scorers of the school of Grade X were felicitated by The Hitavada.

The proud winners of the trophy who did their alma mater proud were Avni Tambi with 98%, Neeti Tatiya with 97.4% and Mudita Tekriwal with overall 97.2%. Avni Tambi was the subject topper in Mathematics, Science and Social Science where she scored 99, 99 and 100 marks respectively. Neeti Tatiya topped in Sanskrit scoring 98% and 99% in English along with Mansi Lotia. Mudita Tekriwal outdid herself by scoring cent percent in Social Science along with Sanjhi Koteshwar. Sanjhi Koteshwar & Gaurav Jaiswal made the school proud by scoring 97% in Hindi & Priyanka Rai scored 98% in Marathi.

Besides these meritorious students, Harikesh Pratap Singh, Ambarish Randive, Pratyush Charde, Vedant Anand, Ayush Yadav and Elizabeth John also proved their mark by scoring 10 CGPA.

Jain International School, in collaboration with A2 Creations, organized “A Craft Workshop” aimed at empowering the women of Fetri village. Students learnt various crafts a few days in advance in the school and taught the women in Fetri so that they could be self dependent. The venue for the workshop was Zilla Parishad School, Fetri.

Jain International School students brought curiosity and amusement to the villager’s faces as they interacted with them. After a while, the women and children came and took their places at the various craft sections. It was an entirely different experience to see them all so excited and interested. The kids and women were full of energy going from one task to another, seizing all the opportunities they got to learn anything. All of them were enthused by what they were creating. It was wonderful to see a few men trying to support their wives and learn a few things. It being Mr. Devendra Fadnavis’s birthday, the villagers and students wished the Chief Minister.

The students of Jain International School participated in the District Roll Ball Competition and made the school proud by bagging the Third Position in the U-14 Boys Category.

The team which brought laurels to the school comprised Aasma Khobragade Mitul Nimgade, Gaurav Negi, Krishnum Patel, Gagandeep Kothari, Vedant Dange and Aryan Daga ; all of Std VIII.

The Green Olympiad Examination 2016 was conducted by ‘The Energy & Resources Institute’, New Delhi. TERI Green Olympiad is considered as a very prestigious environment related examination for school children, as the participation in the examination ensures a rise in environment awareness quotient of students.

Four students of Jain International School, got Distinction Certificates, scoring 80% and above with Karan Chhatwal of Std. V as the topper of the school. The other students securing Distinction Certificates are Anika Banerjee (Std V), Akhilesh Chandorkar (Std.VII) & Manvi Singh Rana (Std.VIII).

11 students got Certificates of Merit for scoring between 70% – 80%. The students who secured Merit Certificates are – Om Rai and Yagyaesh Narain(Std IV), Aishani Pathak , Aashirya Gajbhiye, Jinisha Jejani and Vansh Mediratta (Std V), Sujal Dubey and Vardhan Mahajan (Std.VII), Atharv Khedulkar, Shrayant Choudhary & Yash Bhartia (Std.VIII).

Jain International School’s team gave an astounding performance by winning the Inter-School Roller Skating Championship in the U-12 Boys Category. The team bagged the Second Position.

The U-12 Boys team comprised Atharava Rai (Std IV), Prince Pande (Std V), Sarthak Bhude (Std IV), Parimal Tidke (Std IV), Om Rai (Std IV), Saumya Bhandarkar (Std IV), Shivanand Reddy (Std IV), Rishi Patel (Std IV) and Atharva Rathi (Std IV).

The Pre-Primary students of “Jain International School” gave a stupendous performance in the Hirwai Project, Category-I.

Hirwai is an environment programme of NGO AROHA dedicated to the Green Mother Earth.The programme was initiated with the basic idea of protecting and conserving the depleting green cover in addition to planting as many trees as possible.

The students of JIS Kindergarten, Dhairya Datre (UKG) and Ridhaan Badhiye (UKG) bagged the First Prize in the Category- I for children of 3-5 years of age. The activity was to plant seeds, observe their growth and draw as well as colour the various stages of development of the plants.

In the Inline Skating Category Ridhima Singal (Std IV) bagged the First Position, Urvi Dhakate (Std-IV) secured the Third Position  in U-8 girls category. In U-6 Boys Category the Second Position was secured by Guru Kapse (Std I) and Vansh Daga (Std II)

The students of Jain International School performed exceedingly well in the Inter -School Skating Tournament and bagged a number of prizes and made the school proud.

In the Beginners Category, the Gold Medal was won by Shahnawaz Sheikh (Std. UKg), Arnav Dubey (Std. U Kg) won the Silver Medal, while the Bronze Medals were won by Aryan Kandi (Std. U Kg) and Namrata Shahnavi (Std. U Kg).

 In the Professional Category, Azel Francis (Std. III) won the Silver Medal and in the Inline Category Gold and Silver Medals were clinched by Guru Kapse (Std. I) and Girvan Kapse (Std. I) respectively while Bronze Medals were won by Rajveer Wankhede (Std. I),  Adnaan Ansari (Std. I) and Vishesh Poddar (Std. I).

In the Quads Category, Gold Medals were clinched by Anant Shrivastava (Std. I),  Rashi Nishthane (Std. I) and Rhidhima Singal (Std. V), Silver Medal were won by Anant Belsare (Std. I). Khushaj Praful (Std. II) and Arav Mittal(Std. I),  Vanshika Mishra (Std. I) and Ziyan Rajani (CBSE-i ) won the Bronze Medals.

Jain International School added yet another feather to their cap when Anika Banerjee (CBSE-i V) won the Best Speaker Award at the Inter School Story Telling Competition organized by Hadas Primary School. She narrated the story of “The Runaway Pancake”. The judges were highly impressed by her diction and expressions. She was trained by Mrs Meena Chhatwal, Co-ordinator (CBSE-i).

The students of Jain International School participated in an Interschool Science Exhibition SciPoTech-2016 held at Poddar World School Koradi and secured the Second Position among 60 teams from various schools of the city. The students who brought laurels to the school are Rishabh Khanuja (Std VIII) and Vardhan Mahajan (Std VII).

They made an `Amphibian Vehicle` under the category of `Robotics`. This vehicle can be initially used as a submarine to detect under water mines and then move on the terrain to check security interferences and navigation of the islands.

Yet another student of JIS shone again in the field of sports and added another feather in JIS’ cap. Ritisha Mittal (Std VIII) clinched the Second Position in the U-15 Girls Category in an Inter School Lawn Tennis Tournament.

The winners were : In the Fight Category – Adiva Faisal, Mehak Sharma, Gaurav Mohanty, Krishna Gujar, Tauqueer Khan and Devansh Golhar won Gold Medals. Suryansh Verma, Aditi Sahare and Atharava Khedulkar won Silver Medals.  Samarth Deshpande and Harshad Hedaoo won Bronze Medals. Whereas in the Kata Category – Pratyush Gawali and Tejas Gawali won Gold Medals.   Aman Ghodeshwar won a Silver Medal and Ricky George won a Bronze Medal.

The students were trained and mentored by Shihon Javed Sheikh.

Adtiya Bhure, a student of standard V of Jain International School brought laurels to the school by winning the Second Position in the Science Model Making Competition organized by Raman Science Center, Nagpur. He made a “Solar Lake Cleaning Machine”.

Students from in and around Nagpur district participated with over 300 models on display. Aditya credited his win to his parents and Mrs. Pooja Shrivastava, Primary Co-ordinator.

The audience was spell bound by the spectacular performance given by the students. The participants were Vishudhi Jain (Std II), Purvi Wankhede (Std III), Manasvi Ghode (Std III), Kunal Chandak (Std IV), Anika Banerjee  (Std IV), Rajveer Arya (Std IV), Ridhima Sai (Std V), Heenal Kochar (Std V), Shivanshi Priyadarshi (Std V), Aditya Faisal (Std V), Gagandeep Kothari (Std VI), Sakshi Ingole (Std VI) and Kartik Choudhary (Std IX).

The Dance Drama ‘Mujhe Bachao’ was based on Wildlife and Nature Conservation. The Dance Drama was scripted by Mr. Mithilesh Pathak – HOD Hindi. The students were trained and mentored by Ms. Madhusmita Gahlod and Mr. Naveen Gajghate.

SQAY MARTIAL ARTS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The students of Jain International School gave a stupendous performance and brought laurels to the school by winning Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in SQAY Martial Arts National Championship. Shubham Laddha (Std.IX) bagged the Gold Medal in + 60 kg weight category, Tauqueer Khan (Std.VIII) in + 70 kg category, Krishna Gujjar (Std.IV) bagged the Silver Medal in + 20 kg weight category, Ricky George (Std.VI) bagged the Bronze Medals in – 45 kg weight category and Anurag Sahu  (Std.IV) in – 30 kg weight category.The team was mentored and trained by Shihon Shaikh Javed and Mr.Suraj Nagrale.

WILDLIFE QUIZ

Jain International School’s Quiz Team, comprising of Aryan Madan (Std.VIII), Palak Chopra (Std.VIII) and Ayam Verma (Std.VIII), participated in the Wildlife Quiz, organized by Pench Tiger Reserve Conservation Foundation Office of CCF AND FD, and brought laurels to the school by securing the Second Position.The team had to face a tough competition from 120 participants from 40 schools. The team of JIS successfully qualified for the Written Round and proceeded to the Final Round.The students were mentored by Mrs. Charu Gulati.The Management and Principal of the school – Mrs Anmol Badjatia congratulated the participants for their stupendous performance and their mentor for the success.

The students of Jain International School have done their school proud by winning the Roller Hockey Team Championship.The participants were Asma Khobragade (Std.VI), Gagandeep Kothari (Std.VI), Krushnam Patel (Std.VI), Aryan Daga (Std.VI), Mitul Nimgade (Std.VI), Vedant Dange (Std.VI), Soumya Bhandarkar (Std.III), Sudhanshu Kale (Std.VII).The JIS team gave a tough competition to the Centre Point School, Katol and won the championship (3-1) and also got selected for the State Trials.The Management and the Principal of the school- Mrs. Anmol Badjatia applauded the effort and hard work of the coach Mr. Ratan Singh and the students for their stellar performance.

The chess team of Jain International School gave a stellar performance and brought laurels to the school by participating in the Divisional Level Chess Tournament organized by DSO. held at Gadchiroli.  Neeti Tatiya (Std IX) bagged the Third Position in U-17 Girls Chess Tournament and qualified for the State Level.Neeti was trained and mentored Mr.Prakash Chahande. English Extempore Competition

Students of JIS brought laurels to the school by winning the first position and second position in the English Extempore Competition organized by JN Tata Parsi school. Vedant Tambi (Std X) bagged the First Prize. He spoke on ‘What if the earth was not tilted on its axis”. The Second Prize was bagged by Avni Tambi (Std IX). She spoke on ‘What if there was no land.’ The school also lifted the Rolling Trophy. This is for the sixth consecutive year that the school has bagged the first prize and the Rolling Trophy. The student were mentored by Mrs.Charu Gulati.

A student of JIS shines again and adds another feather in JIS cap. The school bagged the first position in the Science Elocution Competition organized by AISTA (All India Science Teachers association). Sanika Mandaogade (Std VIII) won the first position. This is for the sixth consecutive year that the school has bagged the first prize. The student was mentored by Mrs.Charu Gulati and Mrs.Priyanka Gandhi. She spoke on “Good Bacteria”.
