DISTRICT LEVEL INTER SCHOOL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP
The students of Jain International School participated in the District Level Inter School Karate Championship and brought laurels to the school by bagging several medals in the championship adding to the school’s impressive kitty.
In U-6 Girls’ Category, Siddhi Choudhary (Std I) won Bronze Medal in Kata event. In U-7 Girls’ Category, Aarna Goel (Std II) clinched the Silver Medal in Kata event while in Kumite event, Devyani Shankhadarwar (Std II) won a Bronze Medal. In U-8 Girls’ Category, Palak Bhelkar (Std II) and Maulshree Tiwari (III) won the Silver and the Bronze Medals respectively. In U-9 Boys Category, Devansh Golhar (Std IV), Tathagat Nanda (Std IV) and Devansh Fuke (Std IV) won the Gold, the Silver and the Bronze Medals respectively in Kata and Kumite events. In U-1I Boys Category, Deepak Uttamani (Std. VII) won the Silver Medal in the Kata event. In U-12 and U-14 Boys Category, Soham Agrawal (Std. VII) and Nikhil Dhanda (Std X) won the Bronze and the Silver Medals respectively in the Kata events.
The students were coached by Mr.Suraj Nagrale and Mr.Sheikh Javed.
The Management and the Principal Mrs.Anmol Badjatia lauded the team for their splendid performance.
ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION ACHIEVEMENTS
The top honours were claimed by Padmini Badjate of Std. IX in an Essay Writing Competition, conducted by Hadas School to celebrate its Founder’s day. Padmini’s purple prose on the topic “What Makes India A World Power” won acclaim from the judges who awarded her the First Prize. Padmini was mentored by Ms.Anupama D’Souza, HOD, English Department.
Padmini was congratulated on her performance by the Management of Jain International School and the Principal, Mrs.Anmol Badjatia.
JAIN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL WINS SECOND POSITION
AT INSTRUMENTAL BAND COMPETITION
The students of Jain International School gave a stellar performance in the Interschool Instrumental Band Competition and clinched a the second position. The event was organized by Ordnance Factory, Ambazari, Nagpur.
The student who formed the band are Sanmay Bais & Tanmay Deshraj [Std.XI], Tanuj Gupta, Arjun Garde, Prasuk Jain, Akshat Jichkar, Justin Dias, Om Meherkure, Gagandeep Kothari, Vedant Madne, Vedant Dange, Asma Khobragade, Krishnam Patel, Tanmay Meshram & Samyak Deopare [Std.IX], Priyansh Paradkar [Std.VIII], Calvin Welfred, Arnav Naidu, Kartik Choudhary & Dev Khosla [Std. VII].
A wide range of instruments like nagada, side drums, snares, cymbals, keyboard, electric guitar, bass guitar, tabla & various other minors were played during the performance.
The performance was a medley of some Punjabi, Maharashtrian, Carnival, Rock songs, along with Bollywood, Hollywood songs and self composed instrumentals.
The students were mentored by Mr. Nirmal Singh, Western Music teacher. The Management, the Principal, Mrs. Anmol Badjatia & the entire staff lauded the team for their achievement.
INTER SCHOOL CHESS TOURNAMENT
The students of Jain International School participated in the Inter School Chess Tournament and made the school proud by winning several medals, adding to the school’s impressive kitty. The victorious students were Saloni Patel (Std. IX) from High School Girls’ Category and Bhavya Badjate (Std. V) from Primary School Girls’ Category.
The students were mentored by Mr.Prakash Chahande, Chess Coach.
The Management, the Principal Mrs. Anmol Badjatia and the teachers congratulated and lauded the student for their diligence which bore such wonderful results.
JAIN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL WINS SECOND PRIZE
IN SPELLING BEE COMPETITION 2018
Jain International School participated in Spelling Bee Competition 2018 organized by Ira International School. Out of 216 participants from 27 schools, Shayoni Das from Std. X made the school proud by clinching the Second Prize.
Out of ten students who qualified for the second round, three were from Jain International School, two out of them made it to the third round and one to the final round.
The Principal of the school, Mrs. Anmol Badjatia congratulated the students for their stupendous performance and encouraged them to focus on their spellings, highlighting the importance of correct spellings in this generation Y which is very active on social media and uses a lot of acronyms and abbreviations. The Management, the Principal and all the teachers appreciated & congratulated the students for their diligence and encouraged them for writing correct spellings. The students attributed their success to their teacher, Mrs. Ishmeeta Warne, who trained them and has instilled a love for the written and spoken word in them.
JIS GIRLS SHINE IN CENSPORT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
The Girls’ Football team of Jain International School brought laurels to the school by winning the runner-up position in the U-16 category of Censport Futsal Tournament organized by Centre Point School, Dhaba. The girls played extremely well in the finals and gave a tough fight to their opponents. Sharwari Jumde, Sanya Thakral, Shalakha Bolakhe, Tanvi Chanekar, Manasvi Dhopte, Damia Arya, Ishika Gudadhe, Asmi Malewar and Chetna Sharma were the team members. The students were mentored by Mr.Anthony Peter and Mr. Kunal Meshram.

CLASSICAL DANCE COMPETITION
Jain International School began the new session on a victorious note by walking away with top honors in a classical dance competition organized by South Indian Education Society’s Saraswati Vidyalaya. Shanaya Suri of Std. VIII, dazzled the gathering with an inspired Kathak performance in Taal – Teental. She was awarded the First Prize out of a total of 18 schools that participated in the competition.
Shanaya’s performance was choreographed and narrated by Mrs.Vaishali Khapre. Mr.Umeshwar Barapatre [ Vocals & Harmonium ] and Mr.Vivek Khapre [ Tabla ],lent their considerable skills to her performance.
Shanaya credited her success to the motivation & support extended by the Management and the Principal, Mrs. Anmol Badjatia.
KHELO KARATE ALL INDIA OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP
The students of Jain International School gave a stellar performance in the Khelo Karate All India Karate Championship conducted in Balewadi Sports Complex, Pune. The event was organized by the Karate Association of India. Soham Aggarwal (Std.VIII) won a Gold Medal in Kumite and a Bronze Medal in Kata U-11(+35 kg weight) Boys’ Category. Suhani Ingle (Std X) won Gold Medals in Kata and Kumite in U – 14 (45 kg weight) Girls’ Category.
In U-16 (61Kg weight) Boys’ Category, First Position was secured by Tauqeer Israr Khan (Std.XI) in Kata and he bagged a Bronze Medal in Kumite. The students were trained and mentored by the Karate coaches, Mr Sheikh Javed and Mr Suraj Nagrale.
The Management, the Principal, Mrs. Anmol Badjatia and the staff appreciated and applauded the students for their stellar performance.
JAIN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SETS WORLD RECORD
Tauqueer Israr Khan, a Class XI student of Jain International School, participated in a karate performance, accomplishing an incredible feat of 2,01,960 kicks and 2,300,10 punches and kata in half an hour, thereby setting a world record. This was officially certified by Unique World Records Pvt. Ltd.
This path breaking event, conducted in Kolhapur witnessed a total of 561 karatekas prove their mettle in a combined display. Tauqueer was trained by Mr. Sheikh Jawed, Karate coach.
Tauqueer attributed his success to the unflagging support of the Management and the Principal Anmol Badjatia.
KUDOS TO JIS TEACHER
A teacher of Jain International School was awarded the ‘Guru Samman Award’ in the All India Multi Lingual Dance, Drama, Music & Art and Photography Competition organized by Prayaas Entertainment, Gondia.
Mr.Umeshwar Barapatre, the Classical Indian Vocal Music teacher, was awarded the Guru Samman Award for his outstanding and extraordinary contribution to the promotion, presentation and popularization of Indian performing arts and culture.
